TechnologiesIn order to achieve growth and continuous improvement of the production processes, all three companies in our group have been ISO 9001 certified. Through this efficient management system, Univel Group can face the daily challenges of quality, technology and sustainable development. Similarly, all production sites are BRC Packaging certified. This standard establishes rules to observe for the correct production of packaging meant for direct food contact, and covers exhaustively the areas of hygiene, food safety and legality.
Packaging is a fundamental part of a food product and, if inadequate, can have a negative impact on food quality. All of the materials that come in contact with food products, especially packaging, can affect their safety either by not protecting them adequately or contaminating them. The BRC Packaging standard guarantees the safety of food products through the application of HACCP and GMP programs specific to the agri-food sector. Our laboratories are equipped with a range of instruments for analysis and control, in order to receive qualitative feedback of the incoming raw materials, to monitor the production process, and to make specific tests on the finished product. Such equipment is also essential for R&D activity.
